This is in memory of my loving lolo (grandfather) Domingo Delgado, local farmer from Oriental Mindoro.
A man who can dig deeper than his actual height (he is less than 5 feet tall), whose hands are as hard as a rock (due to land toiling), who has a thick, wavy hair (which he loves to dye black) and the lolo who cooks the best sarsiado (galunggong with sweet style tomate sauce mixed with ginger and onion).
His farm has all the mix of produce as you can see in the photo – but the way he planted them are more amazing that it’s produce. I would love to share them to you on another post.
This Throw Back Thursday is for him, I am thankful that despite of his imperfection (nobody’s perfect), he created vivid, colorful, pleasant and beautiful memories of my childhood.
I love you lo!
